Obituary for Shane Andrew Zimmardi

Shane Andrew Zimmardi
Shane will always be remembered by his bright smile, fun and loving personality, as well as his generous free spirit. He never met anyone he didn't like and could spark genuine conversation with any stranger. He was never judgmental and always found the good in everyone. Everyone loved Shane, it was impossible not to. He lived life hard, and loved harder. His bright life was taken from us too soon, on Wednesday May 13, 2015 at the age of 20.
Shane was born in Las Vegas, Nevada on September 5th, 1994. We lived in Henderson, Nevada for six years before our family moved to Olalla, Washington in March of 2000. He loved growing up in Olalla, where he lived and made memories for 15 years. He had just moved to Gig Harbor, Washington with his older brother Forrest in March of 2015. He was very proud of that.
Shane attended Olalla Elementary, John Sedgwick Junior High, South Kitsap High School, and Horizon. He played baseball for South Kitsap Southern Little League, dominated at soccer for South Kitsap Soccer Club, as well as football and wrestling at John Sedgwick Junior High. He was a Cub Scout for pack 4528 and Boy Scout for troop 1528. Shane attended and was baptized at Olalla Bible Church, where he also attended their Youth Group. At only 18 years of age, he fulfilled his long time dream of traveling through four different European countries. He loved Europe and anything European. In his lifetime he visited 10 U.S. states and 5 different countries including Finland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and France. He had the time of his life, many thought he would never come back!
Shane was a reckless, fearless, dare-devil. His impulsiveness and bravery always had him climbing the tallest trees and building the biggest forts. His interests and hobbies include skateboarding/ long boarding, camping, horticulture, video games, archery, shooting, biking, and swimming. He lived life to its fullest with no regrets, as if every day where his last. Shane was an inspiration, a great spirit and a kind heart. He always put others before himself; most of all, he loved his friends and family. He was extremely proud to be called Uncle by his three nieces.
He is survived by his mother Robin, father Thomas, sisters Crystal and Scarlett, brother Forrest, nieces Violet, Sage, and Renata, cousin Aariel, Aunts Tammy, Lori, Jenny, Mistee, Heather, Stephanie and Lawana, Uncles Bobby and Mike, his grandmothers Juqueatta and Denise, and his grandfather Tom.
Shane wasn't here for a long time, but he was here for a good time. The brighter the star, the faster it burns. But it was there once, bigger and brighter, and everyone saw it. We are beyond proud of this beautiful life and forever grateful for every cherished memory.
