Joanne R. John
Longtime resident of Olympia, Wa Joanne John died on November 20th, 2016 at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. She was 75 years old. Joanne was born August 9th, 1941 in Olympia to Joseph and Opal(Godat) Lavery.
Joanne grew up and attended school in Olympia and graduated from there. She enjoyed working for the State of Washington for over 30+ years from which she retired. In her retirement she enjoyed many hobbies, cooking and knitting being her favorites.
Joanne is survived by: her son Joseph John of Olympia, Wa; Brothers and Sisters: Betty Kempton of Lacey, Roberta(Lavery) Amell of Montana, Delbert Lavery of Tumwater, Bonnie(Lavery) Armstrong of Texas, William Lavery of Olympia, numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Parents Joseph and Opal(Godat) Lavery; Brothers and Sisters; Cleo Lavery-Snohomish, Wa, Marie(Lavery) Rohr-Shelton, Wa, Edward Lavery-Georgia, Annette(Lavery) Jay-Elma, Wa, Albert Lavery-Ca, Juanita(Lavery) Perry-Olympia, Wa, Twin Baby Sisters-Olympia.
She was very much loved and will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.
Services will be held on Friday December 2nd, 2016 at 11:00 am at The Salvation Army Worship Center 1505 4th Ave E, Olympia, Wa 98501, with a potluck to follow.
