Condolence: I am so heartbroken Marti is no longer in our world. Stephani and Michael, I am so sorry for this devastating blow. Marti was so proud of both of you! I cannot imagine never hearing Marti's hearty laugh or experiencing her sharp wit again.
She was one-of-a-kind and always a little larger than life. She was my friend, and I will miss her so much. But I know I will see her again, and we will sit for hours and tell our stories. I love you Marti.

Condolence: Marti, One of my favorite people of all times now gone. We were total opposites in a lot of our views, and had many night long contentious discussions of Geo-Politics, Aliens, Spirit Orbs, and the Supernatural there at Kelly's cabin there in Bonneyville, but we were fast lifelong friends, and never let our differences get in the way of our lifelong fondness for each other. I love you Marti, but I still don't believe in Spirit orbs or ghosts! Hopefully maybe you were right on some of it, and if so we may see each other again, and at that point I will concede. You only live once, but if you do it right once is enough.

Condolence: Stephani and Michael...always know how much your mom loved you, and how proud she was of you. I am happy that she was so happy with Stephani and family, especially that adorable grandson. Thank you. Personally I know how hard she prayed for me these last couple of months. I miss her. She has left way to early but I believe she is truly in a better place and that we will join her one day. God bless her memory and legacy.

Condolence: To the family of Martha Cook Smallwood:

I was really sorry to hear Marti had a stroke, and really sad to know that she left us....all too soon. The last time I saw her was when we visited Louisville in May 2009. I've posted a photo of us that day and one with cousin Johnny, while she was taking care of our Aunt Tenie. Aunt Tenie was very lucky to have such a great caregiver during her last months. What an excellent example of love Marty gave to us, and gave to Aunt Tenie!!

I'll always remember the time when Martha drove back to Lafayette from Louisville, after one of our summer visits to KY. I think it was 1966. We had an 8-passenger Ford station wagon, and had a 'extra seat' in the car that year, so....off we went. We showed her around our town of Lafayette, LA. I don't remember how she got home; she must've flown back.

Our sympathies go out to her sister Susie and brother Kelly, and to all of her extended family, as you grieve and say 'adieu' to Marti, and begin your lives without her presence. She will be remembered fondly by all of us.

Sincerely,

Drew Massicot & Therese Belanger
