Obituary for Ronnie Newingham

Ronnie “papa” Dale Newingham Born August 6th 1954 in Poplar Bluff Missouri departed from this world peacefully February 26th 2017 at 11:02pm at the age of 62 in Puyallup, WA.
Ronnie was a hard-working devoted family man that always put others before himself. Nobody was ever really a stranger to him and he was always willing to share his knowledge and love of cars with everyone. He loved his Seahawks from day one, an original 12th MAN. He was a strong extraordinary man that was loved and respected by so many.
Ronnie is survived by his wife of nearly 42 years Karen Sue Newingham, his daughter Marie and husband Russ Ferguson, his son Cory and wife Amanda Newingham, and his son John and wife Kristie Newingham. Ronnie has nine grandchildren that he loved more than life itself, Chantelle (19), Cody (18), Anthony (18), Selina (17), Rashell (16), Cheyann (11), Kailey (11), Prestin (8), and his “cutie pie” Allyson (5).
Ronnie is also survived by siblings, big sis Peggy Williams, little sis Caro Newingham, little sis Joyce & Matt Admire, and little sis Shelly & Lee Goodwin. `
Ronnie had many hobbies over the years, from drag cars, hotrods, collectable diecast cars, but most recently his grandchildren were his most prized. No matter how things were going with his health he was always concerned with how the grandchildren were doing in their lives. From his “cutie pie” starting kindergarten and doing dance, his football buddy Prestin completing his 2nd year of tackle football with another undefeated season, Kailey and her softball team placing 3rd in the playoffs, Cheyann with her first year playing lacrosse, Rashell playing in the advanced high school band, Selina being in the running start program and in the process of graduating with her AA degree and making it to State in Track, Anthony playing on a AAU basketball team and also graduating this year, Cody graduating high school and purchasing his first car, Chantelle completing her first year in college. All these things Ronnie kept up on. This was his new hobby.
As we are all sad to see “Big Ron” leave us we must also recognize the ones he now joins in heaven. His parents Mary Ann and John Newingham, brother Larry Newingham, sister Judy Newingham, and sister Nancy Newingham, and his best friend Al Viles.
We should all know that he is in a better place, most likely back to building hotrods with his dad and “buddy Al” maybe even getting his beard stuck in the creeper wheels as he rolls around underneath a custom pro-street Chevy Luv truck. Whatever he is doing, I know he will be looking down on us, helping us along our path and guiding us when we need it.
Gone but never forgotten…… Rest in Peace
